2 more days to go, 2 more days to go!!

Boxes are starting to be packed, final preparations are being made and thankfully, that 'To Do List' is getting shorter and shorter! It's so exciting to think that there are just 2 more days to go!

And so as promised I have one last glorious stallholder to tell you about; the wonderful Antique Teacup Candles who beautifully celebrate the 200 years of worth of English tea-drinking history through their... well... antique teacup candles! Each teacup candle is made using a fine antique teacup and 100% pure soya wax and organic essential oils for the candle; and each piece comes with a brief history. A perfect gift that can be used again! These beautiful pictures give you a little taster of what you can expect from their stall!

Gorgeous!!

If you're planning on joining us on Saturday, there are a few bits of information that might help make your experience even more pleasurable! We'll be opening the doors at 10.30am and shutting up shop at 3.30pm.

In terms of getting to the fair, St Issey is relatively easy to find, on the A389 between Wadebridge and Padstow. There is a sign at the end of Gardeners Way (just off the A389) that will direct you to the Fair, so you shouldn't miss us. And for those of you with Sat Navs, the postcode for the Village Hall is PL27 7RN. You shouldn't need to worry about parking, with spaces for 70 cars at the hall.

And lastly, unfortunately St Issey does not have a cash point and many of our stallholders will only accept cash, so make sure that you bring plenty of pennies with you. The nearest cashpoints are at Tesco's in Wadebridge (4 miles) or Tesco's in Padstow (3 miles).

Really hoping to see you there!

3 days to go...

Another day and another lovely stallholder to tell you about! We're very excited to welcome along Alices Tea Party who have a rather beautiful shop in Polruan and will be joining us with a delightful selection of tea-time china, rescued painted furniture and handmade accessories.

And we're not quite done yet on the stallholder front, I'm saving our last (but by no means least) stallholder for tomorrow's post. All in all we'll have 13 stallholders on the day, as well as our very Vintage Tearoom! Perhaps I'm being a little self-indulgent, but I can't wait to see the village hall full with all these vintage delights on the day!

Our week continues to be busy with preparations for the fair and another tick on the long 'To Do List' has been finishing off these blackboards for signage at the fair. Made from thrifted frames and a lick of blackboard paint, we're very happy with the results! Hope you agree!

4 days to go!!

I am back today with news of another stallholder that will be joining us at the fair on Saturday. The wonderfully unqiue Clock Boutique. They revitalise old clocks by fitting them with electric workings and decorating them in the most stunning ways, making them just the thing for modern or vintage-styled homes alike! Here are just a couple of examples of clocks that will be adorning their stall.

And also having a stall at the fair is the Children's Hospice South West, who will be raising money for their Precious Lives Appeal with a stall packed full of vintage donations that they have received. We'll also be raising money for the Precious Lives Appeal through the fair's Vintage Tearoom which will be offering a selection of hot and cold refreshments and delicious homemade cakes! A great cause that we're very pleased to be supporting!

Meanwhile the preparations for the fair are continuing. We spent another day yesterday up and down the Cornish North Coast putting up more posters about the fair and enjoying taking in all the stunning views of little coves and beaches along the way! As well as lots of posters we also put up a couple of freshly made 'A' boards in St Issey and on the A39 at the St Issey turning; both thriftily made from some kitchen cupboard doors and some old paint! Simple yet (hopefully) effective!! What do you think?

Today we're back at base making up more signage for the fair and getting everything ready for the tearoom...embroidered tablecloths - check, cake stands - check, sugar bowls - check...

(Back tomorrow with news of more stallholders!)

5 days and counting!

Well, with less than a week to go before the St Issey Vintage in a Teacup vintage and retro fair I am more excited than ever! And to get you just as giddy as I am, I am planning a post a day, with all our Vintage in a Teacup news!

So let's get started!! You couldn't possibly fail to get excited about these lovely pics from Lou at at Kitsch Attic who will be stallholder at the fair! Lou's stall will be packed full of her beautifully unique, renovated antique and abandoned furniture and lamps. All her pieces are original period furniture items that she's brought back to life with loving attention to detail.

We're also very excited to be joined by the fabulous Shabby Tiger Vintage who are making a big impact on the Cornish Vintage clothing scene in their new shop in Redruth. They'll be there with a huge selection of vintage ladieswear, menswear, accessories, footwear, homeware and children's clothes - you're bound to find something you'll fall in love with.

And another great addition to our list of stallholders will be Save the Children, Wadebridge branch. A fantastic cause with a fantastic selection of vintage clothes and homewares from their in-store vintage room. We're so pleased to be welcoming them along!

I can't believe that there are still more stallholders to tell you about as well, but I want to save them for another post! This really is shaping up to be a truly fantastic fair, even if I do say so myself!

Today's job...putting up more signage in and around St Issey to promote the fair!

Be back tomorrow, with more exciting updates!

So much to tell you!

Whilst I feel really bad for not posting on the blog much recently, I am so pleased that I have so much to tell you about the up and coming Vintage in a Teacup in St Issey on Saturday 30th July.

We have a fantastic list of stallholders joining us at the fair, you already know about Millies Attic and Pink Peppercorn Vintage and joining them are;

Edith Gray (that's us)...
...and their selection of vintage homewares, textiles and small pieces of furniture.

Julie Rae...
...and her wonderful selection of vintage homewares.

Le Shed...

...and their exciting and varied selection of vintage homewares.

Louise Hancock-Baxter from Virginia's in Launceston...

...and her stunning selection of vintage homewares, textiles and furniture. Louise also hires out a gorgeous selection of vintage china, so do make sure you visit her stall if you have a special occassion coming up!

...and many more, which I will have great pleasure in telling you about in another post!

I'm so looking forward to seeing all the stalls together in one big bunting strewn room, I think they're all fab and can't wait to have a rummage through everyone's stall!!

We've had the posters printed to promote the fair and tomorrows job is to start putting them all up! Can't wait!!
